Anyone know how to get better at using a camera or using programs such as GIMP for photo editing?

What i use very often is the trial and error method.
And lots and lots of practice.
To this day i still take at least 4 shots of one pose then pic the best out of them.

If you are talking not pro-cameras.......Cameras are very different. Read the specification and google/duckgo your camera for communities/forums. They post pictures and tell how they were made.

I use error method too. I took a picture of the sign with coffee in 3 modes since it was inside, dim light, and my phone camera isn't good with the settings I have never tried before. Got pretty decent picture.....
